Nope! Hemp is rich in CBD, which is the non-psychoactive component of cannabis. It doesn't have any of the mind altering effects commonly associated with the other varieties of cannabis and marijuana.

Its counterpart, THC, is the part of the plant which creates the 'high' feeling that people associate with cannabis use. That definitely shouldn't be seen as a dosage recommendation, but it does show how great the safety profile of CBD alone is.

If you do start to feel a negative reaction that you suspect could be from CBD (nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, etc.), then you should cease use and contact a medical professional. If you are also taking other medications, please consult a medical professional before use.

If you're taking it with the intentions of aiding sleep, you can take it up to an hour prior to bed. The effects that are immediate from CBD generally take effect within 20-90 minutes, however the long-term effects may require several weeks for the results to be achieved.

The levels in our extracts are extremely low, and won't have any psychoactive effects whatsoever - each batch is always tested below the legal limit of 0.3%. That said, it’s important to note that THC can take some time to be fully eliminated from your system. For this reason, we advise against using our products if you are subject to regular workplace urine testing, as they may result in a positive test.

With regards to roadside tests, we advise against taking them immediately prior to driving, however it doesn't last nearly as long in the saliva - with most regular dosages, a few hours is generally enough to ensure the chance of testing positive is near zero. If you'd like to err on the side of caution, you may prefer to take the oil at night (around an hour before bed).
